General Dentistry
Includes all aspects of dental care including all specialty areas.  General dentist often choose specific procedures they like to do and refer the others to specialists.

Orthodontics (Braces)
Only provide services for straightening teeth.

Endodontics (Root Canals)
Only root canal services provided.

Prosthodontics
Provide specialty care for difficult or unusual crown and bridgework.  Some also provide facial prosthetics such as artificial ears, eyes, etc.

Periodontics
Treatment of Gum Disease.

Oral Surgery
Extractions and many other surgeries of the mouth.

Pediatric Dentistry
Sees only children.
